From Bowling Green, Kentucky (about 1 hour) See map 1 for this part of the trip. 1. Take U.S. 231 south towards Scottsville, Kentucky. 2. You will cross U.S. 31-E after approximately 18.1 miles. (There is a traffic light at this intersection.) Keep going straight at the intersection. The road will change numbers to Ky. Highway 980. 3. After 1.3 miles, the road will dead end at Ky. 100. There is a traffic light at this intersection.
See map 2 for this part of the trip. 4. Turn left from Ky. Highway 980 onto Ky. Highway 100. 5. Go 0.4 miles on Ky. Highway 100. You will come to a stop sign at the square in Scottsville. 6. Turn right at the stop sign onto East Main Street. Note: you will still be on Ky. Highway 100 after you make the turn. 7. Stay on East Main Street for 0.3 miles. You will come to a traffic light. Turn right at the traffic light. Note: you will still be on Ky. Highway 100 after you make the turn. 8. Stay on Ky. Highway 100 for 2.1 miles. 9. Turn right onto Ky. Highway 1421. (Note: the intersection for Ky. Highway 1421 comes up quickly.) 10. After 4.2 miles, you'll come to a "Y" intersection with Ky. Highway 1578. You want to stay on Ky. 1421 by bearing right. 11. Stay on Ky. 1421 for another 2.8 miles. Landmark: you'll see Anderson's Market on your right and a Cooper Tires sign on your left about 0.5 miles before you come to the next turn onto Hanes Road. 12. Turn left onto Hanes Road. 13. Stay on Hanes Road for 1.8 miles. 14. The office at Long C Trails will be on your left.
