Thanks to all of you who participated in the 2013 New Year’s Day Ride.  Mother Nature wasn’t was nice to us as she was in 2012, but we did have a few riders who braved the cold and helped us start out the new year riding… Pilar Arbaizu was the winner of the day ride pass… Congrats!

FRIDAY – MARCH 15TH
BARNYARD GRILL OPENS FOR THE SEASON.
RUTHIE AND LOLA WILL BE SERVING UP THEIR DELCIOUS DISHES WITH THEIR FRIENDLY SERVICE JUST LIKE LAST YEAR   FISH FRY EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT 5-8PM SATURDAY 7 AM 8 PM SUNDAY 7-10AM  EXTENDED HOURS APPLY ON HOLIDAY WEEKENDS.     AND SPEAKING OF THE GRILL, THE GUYS HAVE BEEN REMODELING ALL WINTER.  THE BARNYARD GRILL WILL NOW BE SCREENED IN COMPLETELY DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS AND WE HAVE A TAILOR MADE COVER TO GO OVER THE SCREEN TO KEEP OUT THE COLD AND WIND IN CHILLY TIMES.

LUCK OF THE DRAW RIDE        
Luck of the Draw Trail Ride  Trail ride is $20.00 plus applicable camping or additional riding fees.  In the Irish Spirit of things if you wear green hat or shirt and ask for your Irish Spirit deal, you will receive 10% off your entry fee.  See website for prices and details.  Ride fee includes breakfast and a chance at winning a day ride pass good for 12 rides.   Also a few other prizes will be awarded.  To register and/or reserve a campsite or hotel room, call (270)618-7500 or email us at longctrails@yahoo.com.   This ride works a little different… You play two games to get poker cards before you go out…. You get  poker card while you are on the ride… And then you play two more games when you return to get your last two cards…. The winner is based on the best poker hand…. We usually have a few runner up prizes as well….   So come on out and see just how lucky you are…..

4TH ANNUAL BUNNY ROUNDUP  
Bunny Roundup Registration Fee $5 Does not include regular Day Ride Fee of $8   There will be at least 10 Bunnies hidden on the trails…. Find a bunny, bring it back to the office, your name will be entered into a drawing that will be held on Saturday, March 23RD, at 5PM   The prize will be a “ Day Ride Pass ” good for 12 Day Rides   So come join in the fun and look for the Easter Bunny a little early      

SATURDAY. APRIL 6  
WILDFLOWER WEEKEND SPONSORED BY ALLEN COUNTY MASTER GARDENERS ASSOCIATION   Wildflower Workshop Weekend $12 Full Workshop Fee Limited to 15 participants 10am-3pm Includes Wildflower identification presentation  (Mother Nature willing) a wildflower to take with you for your own gardens Build your own birdhouse workshop Wildflower quilt piece – to bring flowers inside - demonstation Lunch (provided) Guided Wildflower Nature Trail Hike For those who only want to do the Guided Hike $5 Fee MUST PRE-REGISTER AT LEAST 7 DAYS PRIOR …. Will cancel if 5 participants do not signup!

PRE-REGISTRATIONS PREFERRED, BUT REGISTRATIONS CAN BE MADE AT ANY TIME UP UNTIL DAY BEFORE…   ALSO LAST YEAR INSPIRED A DESSERT CONTEST AS WELL …. SO WE’LL BE DOING THAT AGAIN THIS YEAR   And remember that after the contest there is a potluck… so even if you aren’t competing in the cookoff…. Come prepared to fix a dish and join us for some great food and fellowship!!!   The Barnyard Grill will close at 3pm on Saturday so they too can join in the fun!
